South Middle School Athletic Trainer
Alfonso Guajardo III is a BOC certified and Texas licensed Athletic Trainer. He is a graduate of Edinburg High School. After high school, Alfonso attended the University of Texas Pan American receiving his Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology. Alfonso didn't end his education after graduation. He continued his education at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and received his Master’s degree in Athletic Training. Before arriving to South Middle School, Alfonso spent his first year as an athletic trainer at Valley View High School. Although it was difficult to leave the High School, Alfonso decided that the best way to give back to his community would be to do so in his hometown. Alfonso has been the Athletic Trainer at South Middle School since 2014 and has cherished every second of it. In his line of work, watching these young athletes grow and educating them on the importance of physical, mental and emotional health is what Alfonso enjoys the most. He couldn’t ask for a better Administration and Coaching staff to work with. He is passionate about our program and is a strong advocate of the BLACK and BLUE, GO REBCATS!!!
